About Us

Young children learn best through a stimulating environment with a variety of learning activities. At Painted Saguaro Preschool, we provide a wide range of hands-on activities and encourage experimentation through art, math, science, reading readiness, language development, music and movement activities. Our lessons are created with weekly and monthly themes, based on student interests, to help children develop independence while maintaining a sense of security. Our play-based curriculum allows children to learn about the world around them and about themselves as well as opportunities for effective and nurturing interactions with peers and teachers.
Children in our class will be taught through whole group and center-based learning experiences. During whole group lessons, children will be able to participate in circle time and large teacher led activities. Through centers, children will work in small peer groups, independently, or with the teacher to develop fine and gross motor skills, grow social skills, learn about themselves, time management, self-regulation, and explore what they are interested in. Our class is a safe place for children to make mistakes and learn from those mistakes, develop language skills, practice and extend concepts they have been taught as well as learn new-to-them skills for “Ah ha!” moments!
Our Mission
To support and provide an education for children ages three, four and five that emphasizes quality academics in an environment that celebrates each child’s individuality through social, cognitive, physical, and creative development.
