Our Teachers
Miss Alexis
Miss Alexis was born and raised in Tucson. She is married with 2 children; a boy, Jack, and a girl, Charli. Charli attends the preschool, too! They also have a family dog, a rambunctious chocolate lab named Deia!
Miss Alexis has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Special Education. She taught in the Vail School District for 7 years before deciding to stay home when her son was born. Then, a few years later she was offered the opportunity to open this preschool!
Miss Alexis is so excited to help children use their imagination to become successful students who love to learn! She is thrilled to be owner, director and teacher at Painted Saguaro Preschool!
Miss Valerie
Miss Valerie was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She moved to Tucson in 1994. She is married and has two children, a son and daughter, as well as, two dogs and a cat.
Miss Valerie has over ten years experience as a teaching assistant in primary grades in public schools. She has an associate degree, a certificate of Specialized Training in Early Childhood and BA in Sociology and Anthropology.
Miss Valerie is a welcome addition to our preschool. She creates a fun and inviting atmosphere where children thrive. She loves working with children and helping them grow into amazing students!
